Long time ago went to one of his shows with my then Dublin friends at the television club in Dublin..I was 19 years old at the time..joe hung over the stage and with that great smile said hello..never officially met him but loved his music then and now!
As a Joe Dolan fan it’s great idea that Ben,Adrian,Ray, And Sandra Dolan are part of Remembering Joe .
Joe was and will always be the greatest. The Top Hat, Fermoy, Majestic, Mallow, Redbarn and The Arcadia, Cork -never to be forgotten nights. Wonderful that Ben and the family keep The Joe Show On The Road, Joe, we'll never forget you in 'Our Own Peculiar Way'
As a baby you are normally brought up with nursery rhymes but not me..my mum Marian Rainford used to serenade me with Joe Dolan songs..I was born in 1964 so all my life was Joe. When I was old enough I used to frequent Rubens in Leigh to watch Joe on numerous occasions as well as other venues across the north west. I lost my mum last year but as part of her funeral we had to play what was fitting to her and a tribute to her favourite singer”good looking woman” as a collage of photos was shown one of which was her with Joe
Exactly 15 years without you king.
Your voice and music still in our hearts.
Much live from Israel dear Joe
Have the best of memories of a great friend entertainer overall best guy enjoyed our time meeting and chats and sharing stories through the years
I remember meeting Joe on my birthday 🎂 in the gleneagle hotel another time he gave me his tie
I remember going to see Joe Dolan and his band in the Belgard Hotel in Tallaght in the 1980’s. That night he took off his white tie and threw it into the audience. I jumped out of my seat and caught the tie. I still have it. Great memories.
